Baldur's Gate 3 received first update that fixes Patch 8 bugs
After the launch of Patch 8 for Baldur's Gate 3, Larian Studios quickly got to work on fixes, which hit the game today as part of a new hotfix.

This month, Baldur’s Gate 3 launched. Even though the title won't be getting big updates anymore, the devs will still be providing smaller fixes for a while. One of them was released today.

Larian Studio primarily focused on improving the crossplay feature and fixing bugs in the photo mode. Besides that, several gameplay bugs have also been addressed, as well as adding new subclasses, improving the interface, and making mod creation easier. Below you will find selected changes brought by the hotfix.
- The issue with the Mod Manager, where reports were being sent to mod creators from seemingly anonymous s, has been fixed, even if the s were correctly logged in.
- The bug has been fixed, which caused the client to stop at the loading screen when the player tried to the crossplay lobby without an invitation.
- A time limit has been added that will bring you back to the main menu if your attempt to a cross-platform game fails.
- If your PC connection gets interrupted and you see the message "network functions are disabled," your online session settings will be turned off (based on the options you chose).
- The character limits for the name have been standardized across all platforms.
- The "Highlights" setting and the "Mirror" option have been fixed in the photo mode.
- The bug that was preventing the selection of two characters in photo mode has been fixed.
- Delays in control on split screen on PS5 have been fixed when both players are editing their Dream Guardian.
Currently the Belgian company is working on two projects. In the recent interview, the head of Larian Studios, Swen Vincke, talked more about the new game development system they've adopted at the company.
