Psychedelic horror The Works of Mercy lets you become a murderer
The Works of Mercy is a psychedelic horror in which the player has to murder innocent people to protect his own family. The game’s developers asked for financial on Kickstarter.

Horror genre might be getting another noteworthy position. The Works of Mercy is a new Kickstarter video game project of Polish developer Pentacle inspired by such classic films as Roman Polanski’s Repulsion, The Tenant, and Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. This is going to be a psychedelic horror, in which the protagonist is forced by a mysterious tormentor to murder innocent people in order to protect his own family. This way the developers want to make players think on really heavy questions: how much could I sacrifice for my family? how to justify the killing in the sake of saving someone’s life? how to cope with the sense of guilt?
Thanks to the power of Unreal Engine 4 the graphics in The Works of Mercy will be very realistic. This, plus VR headset , is to reinforce the immersion in this horrifying, brutal reality. The prologue video posted below gives a glimpse of what we can expect in this regard:
The Works of Mercy is ultimately planned to hit PC (Windows, Mac, Linux), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The estimated time of release is August 2016, which depends on how the crowdfunding campaign goes. But that shouldn’t be much of a problem, since the team asked for only 15,000 CAD.
