Streamer Sacrifices 3,000 Hours of Game Time For a Good Cause
As part of the GCX 2020 charity event, one of the streamers dedicated his Hardcore Ironman mode character from RuneScape, with whom he spent over 3,000 hours. All this with the noble aim of raising money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis.

Since June 14, a charity marathon has been running on Twitch as part of the RuneScape, on which he spent over 3,000 hours.
What is Ironman Hardcore Mode?
There are three additional Ironman modes in RuneScape - Regular (we cannot exchange items with others), Ultimate (we cannot use the bank) and Hardcore. In the latter, after a death, the character is removed from the ranking and moved to Regular Ironman mode. Faux spent more than 3 thousand hours on his Hardcore mode character and could boast of considerable achievements and valuable items.
Faux spoke about the whole action just after he lost his character.
"I want you to listen to me here, real quick. It was 3,400 hours on a video game character. I promise you, that there are kids out there that would love to spend 3,400 hours more in this world. Together, as a community we've raised 57,146 dollars. I have five more minutes, but we've raised that much money so far. I know some people are upset to let it go, but this is nothing. 3,400 hours is nothing compared to what some of these kids go through. I appreciate every single one of you that have taken part today, in doing your part to make a difference in some kids' lives."
The streamer's stance is undoubtedly irable, but don't forget the viewers, who have already spent a lot of money on a worthy cause. So far, a total of over 3.4 million dollars has been raised. The streamer marathon on Twitch will last until June 21, and at this address you will find its exact schedule. the action if you have some free time. You too can make a difference in someone's life!
