Mechanics

Similarly to other Katamari games, the action is seen from a third person perspective. The player assumes control over a ball that has objects sticking to it in progress of the level. As the level progresses, the ball increases in size, enabling us to pick-up larger elements of the environment, from small items up to vehicles and buildings.

Nevertheless, it should be mentioned that hitting various obstacles or black holes encountered across the levels forces us to repeat the whole level. Our chances of survival increase with amassed clusters, which offer useful bonuses, as well as cousins that offer ive bonuses (for example, Opeo gives us additional protection from obstacles, while Foomin makes the objects in the distance attach to our ball). Their strength can be further increased by buying upgrades bought for coins accrued during the course of the game.
