Battlezone

Battlezone for PC and PS4 is a remake of the classic shooter that debuted in 1980 in arcades and then was ported to ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Atari ST, Apple II and other platforms. The title was developed for virtual reality devices by Rebellion – the creators of games like Aliens vs Predator and the Sniper Elite series.

Gameplay

Like many other classic shooters, the title has rather simple story. When Earth is attacked by creatures from an alien planet, the player takes control of a modern battle tank and he is tasked with elimination of enemy tanks, planes and other unidentified flying objects. The action is shown from a first-person perspective and during the game the player will travel through futuristic locations filled with neon elements that are typical for science-fiction movies of eighties, like for example TRON. The gameplay combines dynamical action with the necessity to strategically plan further movements.
