The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is the third DLC for Borderlands, a game that combines elements of first-person shooter and action RPG, which came out in October 2009. The expansion was developed by Gearbox Software.
Plot
The Secret Armory of General Knoxx allows us to take part in an enthralling adventure that continues the story of the vanilla game. The Atlas corporation sends a pursuit after the protagonists, wanting to seize all goods uncovered after the defeat of an alien race. The forces of Crimson Lance quickly locate the heroes. In the right moment, Athena, once an employee of Atlas who now fiercely fights her former employer, offers a helping hand.
The adventure, which finale is truly fiery, is divided into over forty varied missions. While performing them, we visit numerous new locations, including the town of T-Bone Junctions which once floated on the water and now is located high above the dried-out ground.
Mechanics
One of the most important novelties of The Sercret Armory of General Knoxx is the increase of level cap to 61. Thanks to this, we can further develop our characters by increasing their statistics and perfecting their skills.
From among the remaining features of The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, new kinds of firearms and a number of alternative enhancements that can be obtained in combat are especially noteworthy. The expansion also doesn’t lack for new vehicles, including one that resembles a monster truck and the so-called APC that can carry up to four people.
Traversing the considerable number of new locations of the expansion, we face thirty previously unknown types of enemies. They are not only more powerful than those already known, but also smarter, thanks to the enhanced artificial intelligence systems.
