Release Date: May 16, 2025
A second collection of classic fighting games from Capcom's portfolio (the first set was released in 2022). In Capcom Fighting Collection 2 we can choose between 8 games, including classics like Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER, Power Stone or Capcom Fighting Evolution. All games feature training modes, special difficulty options and for Rollback network technology.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is a sequel of the compilation titled Capcom Fighting Collection, released in 2022. Similar to the original, we are dealing with a package of classic games from the portfolio of the titular Japanese producer. This compilation includes the following classic games:
The classics included in Capcom Fighting Collection 2 are fighting games in which we engage in duels in arenas.
In each of these productions, we embody characters that vary in of available combat skills and range of attacks. The key to success is using these last ones to create impressive and deadly combos.
Unlike the originals, individual games stand out due to the training mode, which has been implemented for each of them. This package has been enriched with the ability to save the game state, as well as various options that allow us to adjust the gameplay to individual preferences and skills. Thanks to them, we can adjust the level of difficulty or activate easy options, such as 1-button special attacks.
The cherry on top is the so-called Museum, where we will find over 700 graphics from the games that make up this compilation, design documents, and a music player that allows us to listen to over 300 songs.
We can play Capcom Fighting Collection 2 alone or in multiplayer mode. The collection allows for playing with other players on a shared screen or over the Internet. For the latter, the developers used the Rollback Netcode technology to ensure stable gameplay.
The audiovisual presentation of the games in the Capcom Fighting Collection 2 set remains unchanged compared to their originals. However, it has been enriched with filters that can be applied to the screen.

Game Ratings for Capcom Fighting Collection 2 Video Game.
GamingBolt: 8 / 10 by Matthew Carmosino
This is a wonderful collection of early 2000s fighting game era touched up with quality of life features and tons of artwork to peruse. The standout attractions this time are the team-based crossover classics Capcom vs. SNK 1 and 2, along with the beloved 3D arena brawlers Power Stone 1 and 2. Unfortunately the two Power Stones don't come with their story modes, and being stuck with one save state across all games is incredibly restrictive when continuing single-player. Still, a majority of the eight games here are absolute gems, and are arguably a better value than Capcom Fighting Collection 1.
Hardcore Gamer: 4 / 5 by Jeremy Peeples
Capcom returns with an archive of some of their finest late '90s and early '00s fighting games in Capcom Fighting Collection 2.
PlayStation Universe: 8.5 / 10 by Joe Richards
This collection of fighting games sits comfortably with Capcom's other compilations as a similarly high quality collection of some truly classic games that were previously stuck on old hardware. For some of these games, it might be the beginning of a new era for their compeititve scene. For others, the mere fact they're here is enough as a curio. Immaculate emulation and slick new features make this the definitive way to play with friends and share the experience.
