Dark Souls II Expansion Pack
Release Date: September 30, 2014
The third of the planned DLC additions to the second installment of the bestselling action RPG, created by the Japanese studio From Software. Along with the previous two it combines into a completely new storyline, the axis of which is the search for three legendary crowns. This time we will deal with getting the last of them, and the action will take us to a previously inaccessible, ancient temple.
Dark Souls II - Crown of the Ivory King, released on PC, X360 and PS3, is the third expansion for Dark Souls II, a popular action RPG, which was created by a Japanese studio FromSoftware. The developer has so far had little experience in the production of DLC. Their only previous expansion, Artorias of the Abyss, was prepared for the first Dark Souls, which debuted in 2011 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and a year later on PC. It is worth mentioning, however, that the DLC was praised by players and offered many hours of satisfying gameplay. Crown of the Ivory King is part of a series of three DLCs that have been built to take full advantage of the specific ideas that characterize the Souls series. Adventures are connected with the basic version of the game and also with each other. During the game, players will have to find three legendary crowns.
In Crown of the Ivory King, we will explore a monumental ancient temple built in the midst of snow and frost. Abandoned centuries ago, the building was designed to overwhelm players with its emptiness and size. In the course of the DLC, we have to face unfavorable weather, previously unseen opponents, as well as low visibility and many surprises, to which we have been accustomed by developers.
The creators decided to introduce a special option for players who like cooperation. The expansion contains a special, more difficult path where we face demanding bosses, designed with co-op in mind. What is interesting, the access to this DLC is also available to people who didn't buy it but have ed only the appropriate patch. Of course, if we feel strong and our character is of a high enough level, we can deal with the challenge alone.

Game Ratings for Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory King Video Game.
PC Invasion: 9 / 10 by Peter Parrish
Crown of the Ivory King's snow-swept ramparts are an exemplary example of intricate, looping level design. This third and final release wraps up the most consistent set of DLC I've played since Fallout: New Vegas.
PC Gamer: 80 / 100 by Ben Griffin
It's familiar, but Crown of the Ivory King is still another gorgeous five-hour helping of Dark Souls 2. Cherish it—it's your last.
Hardcore Gamer: 4 / 5 by Adam Beck
Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory King is arguably the best of the Lost Crown Trilogy, but it's not without its faults. The main complaint revolves around the conclusion not having a big pay off, despite sinking ten to fifteen hours into the entire set of quests.
