Daylight is a horror action game with first person perspective (FPP). The title was produced by Zombie Inc. studio, which achievements include Blacklight: Tango Down and Saw II: Flesh & Blood. The main character of the game is a young woman who for some unexplained reason wakes up inside an abandoned psychiatric facility. This place has been taken over by wraiths, from which the only way to escape turns out to be.
Daylight is first-person horror game developed by Zombie Studios, powered by Unreal Engine 4, which takes place in an old psychiatric hospital overrun by ghosts. The game combines elements of arcade, stealth, and adventure games, while the maps are randomly generated.

We assume the role of a woman who one day wakes up inside an old psychiatric hospital. The place is overrun by ghosts and the player's primary task is to survive. The architectural plan of the building is randomly generated, so each new game is a new adventure. The ultimate aim of the game is to find a way to escape the building. It takes about three hours, but the randomness of the environment encourages multiple walkthroughs. Only in this way will we get to know the entire history of the hospital and the main character's past, anyway, as documents and recordings also are placed at random.
We observe the events from a first person perspective. The game does not have any combat mechanics; the heroine is physically weak and does not have any weapons. The only effective defense against the shadows are flares and escape. While exploring the rooms and corridors, our greatest ally is our smartphone - we use it, among others, as a simple flashlight. In addition, from time to time, our phone gets possessed and starts to play the voice of a mysterious individual who apparently hides somewhere watching us. In addition to acting the part of a flashlight, the phone is also a map for easy navigation through the dark locations. Moreover, the proximity of ghosts causes disruptions in the functioning of the device, which is used as a simple detector of supernatural entities. We also have plastic lightsticks which, thanks to the UV light, show footprints on the ground.
Daylight is one of the first projects powered by Unreal Engine 4. The use of this technology resulted in a high level of detail and realistic dynamic lighting system, strengthening the atmosphere of terror in the game.

The best thing to be said about Daylight, the new procedurally generated horror game from Zombie Studios in Seattle, is that while it's a failure, at least it's an interesting failure

Daylight alleges to alleviate the replay problem for games of this type. It certainly does that with its procedurally generated world. The problem is, I don't think they make a compelling enough argument to play again in either the story or gameplay department.
