Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition Expansion Pack
Release Date: June 27, 2017
An expansion for Diablo III, developed by Blizzard Entertainment. The add-on introduces a new playable hero – Necromancer, and a number of cosmetic additions. The new hero has power over a special type of magic, drawn from the power of death, while his battle abilities are based on blood and bone – a Necromancer can resurrect corpses.
Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer for PC, PS4 and XONE for is an expansion for Diablo III, announced in November 2016 during the annual BlizzCon, a Blizzard fans convent organized by the company itself. It is not a large expansion, but a small add-on introducing a new hero – Necromancer, as well as numerous cosmetic additions. The add-on was released for both PC and console versions of the game.
Rise of the Necromancer introduces a new playable character class – the titular Necromancers, known as the Priests of Rathma. The school decided to respond to the Sanctuary’s call, ending their training in the depths of Kehjistan jungle, which had teached them to maintain the balance between life-giving and deathly powers.
The necromancer, whose gender can be choosen at the beginning of the game, has control over a special school of magic, drawn from the power of death. Their power stems from blood and bone – raw materials of life, and they can use it to tip the balance of life and death, and create living dead that answer their call. Diablo III Necromancer is based on D2 one – even if the add-on doesn’t introduce all the abilities known from the previous installment, that version of the hero was the main inspiration for the developers. The player can make use of a spectacular Corpse Explosion, a ranged Bone Spear, summon skeletons, Siphon Blood from his enemies, or use Blood Rush for short-range teleportation.
Additionally, the new hero has his dedicated legendary items and sets, and an in-game pet. The add-on also introduces more character slots, a portrait frame, pennant, banner, and a unique sigil, as well as two additional stash tabs for PC version.
Diablo III: Rise of the Necromancer is not a standalone release – PC s need Diablo III with Reaper of Souls, while console s need Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition.

PC Invasion: 6 / 10 by Paul Younger
Worth picking up if you're one of the remaining hardcore Diablo 3 fans, but it's a little pricey for what you get.

Think you're tired of Diablo III? Rise of the Necromancer will soon change that. The revamped corpse-raiser is a blast to play and a smashing way to revitalise both the campaign and Adventure Mode. Newcomers to Diablo 3 won't find it so essential when there's so much content and so many classes to get stuck into already, but this is one more good reason to get into Blizzard's epic, cementing its status as an all-time-great action RPG.
Windows Central: 4 / 5 by Jez Corden
I would've liked to have seen a little more story content, even if it was just some additional lore, but that's a personal gripe. Most players will probably be too busy relishing the bloody carnage the Necromancer can bring, which is considerable. This is a great addition to Diablo III, one I highly recommend to fans of all of Diablo's existing classes.
