Fishdom is a puzzle game with arcade and simulation elements, created by Playrix's development team for aquaristics enthusiasts. Solving the puzzles of the match-3 type, the player has the opportunity to build their own dream aquarium, where the most beautiful specimens of marine fauna will swim.
Fishdom, released on PC and NDS, was developed by Playrix and is addressed to people who would like to observe the life of virtual fish on their monitor screen and, at the same time, want to show their sense of aesthetics and logical thinking skills.
The player plays the role of an ambitious aquarist, who dreams of creating a wonderful aquarium. However, this is not easy given that the purchase of better and better equipment, decorations and, of course, fish requires a considerable amount of money. Fortunately, you can get these by solving puzzles.
The game combines elements of logical, arcade and simulation games. The basis of the gameplay is match-3 puzzles. The player must manipulate the blocks in such a way that at least three with identical symbols are next to each other in a vertical or horizontal line. When that happens, these blocks get removed from the board. The prize for completing a task depends on the result achieved and the remaining time.
The creators of Fishdom have taken care of a wide range of virtual fish species, as well as a large assortment of aquarium objects and accessories, which increase the comfort of marine creatures and improve the aesthetics. In addition, many elements in the underwater world are interactive and react to the player's actions.
As for the visuals, Fishdom is characterized by brightly colored, two-dimensional graphics. The creators took care of nicely presented animations, which enliven the scenery. The aquarium created by the player can also be used as a screen saver.
