A motorsport strategy manager with mobile origins. GT Manager '24 has us managing a racing team taking part in endurance motorsport series. The game offers a variety of licensed cars from five different racing categories (from GT4 to Hypercar) and a bunch of real drivers.
GT Manager '24 is a strategy manager game dedicated to motorsport, and more specifically, endurance car racing. This is a slightly expanded and more technologically advanced version of the GT Manager game, which was released on mobile devices in 2021. The same company is behind the development of both these titles - The Tiny Digital Factory, specializing in racing games for smartphones and tablets. The French developer is led by Stephane Baudet, who headed the Eden Games studio from 1997 to 2005, contributing to the creation of V-Rally series.
In GT Manager '24 we can start a long motorsport career, gradually climbing from the slowest GT4 class vehicles, through GT3, GT2 and GTE, to Hypercar. In each category, there are licensed cars from brands such as Bugatti, Porsche, Aston Martin, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Chevrolet, or Alpine.
As the team leader, we do not races ourselves, but only give orders to the drivers we employ. We decide at what pace they should drive, balancing the speed with the wear of the engine or tires. We also choose the moments to pit and indicate tire compounds appropriate to the conditions on the track (mainly weather).
Apart from racing, we deal with the business side of running the team. We look for sponsors to ensure our financial liquidity. We purchase cars and also have to hire staff for various positions - apart from drivers (among whom real names appear) we need, for example, engineers or marketers. Spending money on technological research is also required and it can improve the performance of our machines. We gain access to further options by reaching higher levels of the manager and expanding the headquarters of our team.
During the competition, we participate not only in long endurance races, but also in shorter sprint races. Each season consists of ten rounds in which we visit a dozen or so race tracks inspired by famous real objects.
The core of GT Manager '24 is the single-player career mode.
GT Manager '24 is characterized by quite detailed car models, although the three-dimensional visualizations of races are simplified. The colorful interface is a reminder of the game's mobile origins.
