Release Date: April 5, 2016
Developed by Owlchemy Labs, a humorous simulation game designed with Augmented Reality in mind. This title can be classified as a joke sim, similar to Surgeon Simulator, I Am Bread, or Probably Archery. The game is set in the year 2050, when most humans’ tasks were handed down to specialized machines.
Job Simulator for PC and PS4 is another pseudo-simulator game, which includes such titles as Jack Lumber.
The Job Simulator feature line does not matter while playing, but the developers took care of a simple story. Players reach 2050, the time when machines took over the majority of people's responsibilities. To remind them that once we did all the work, JobBot was created, which was created by Job Simulator - a program that teaches people of the future what work is.
The title uses virtual reality goggles (Oculus Rift with Oculus Touch and HTC RE Vive controller on the PC, or PlayStation VR with two PlayStation Move controllers on the console), and the whole fun is based on doing various jobs. In Job Simulator for PC and PS4 we play the role of people employed as chef, salesman in a small shop or office worker. In each case, we stand in front of a desk or counter and do various things with objects in the immediate vicinity. So we can have a cup of coffee, throw a book, prepare a hot dog, shake a sparkling drink, pour ketchup over the dish, and so on. Playing does not have much to do with real competitions and is purely ridiculous.
Job Simulator for PC and PS4, like other games of this type, is not one of the main advantages of production. Developers have prepared simple set designs in cartoon style. There are no special effects or high quality textures during the game, and the whole game is supervised by a simplified physical engine. In practice, however, all this works quite well and fits well with the overall climate of the title.

Game Ratings for Job Simulator Video Game.
ZTGD: 8 / 10 by Justin Celani
Job Simulator has a personality of its own, and that’s what sells the experience. Its lighthearted, extremely silly premise works wonders with its presentation and core gameplay. It’s just not something super deep, and that seems to be a fairly common issue with most of the VR games I’ve experienced so far. Yet at the same time, this was one that gave me the most chuckles and it’s one that’s just as much fun playing as it is watching someone else do these menial tasks.
GamingTrend: 70 / 100 by Richard Allen
Job Simulator was one of the defining games of early PC and console VR and remains a great introduction to VR for those wanting to learn the ropes in a stress-free environment. All four scenarios are fun to mess around in and the game has a wonderful sense of humor. Sure, the entire experience only lasts four or five hours, but remains fun throughout.
Digital Chumps: 8.2 / 10 by Eric Layman
Competent virtual reality creates a profound shift in the way games immerse players. Past the novelty, however, comes the demand to have a material effect on the virtual world. Being a witness is fine, but becoming a participant is better. Job Simulator, perhaps more than any other PlayStation VR launch title, neither dwells in abstracts nor resides in stasis. Its cartoony confines are genuine, and player agency, however modest, feels authentic.
