Release Date: March 7, 2017
Another game from Traveller's Tales, featuring the highly-popular LEGO bricks. Unlike the previous installments in the series, this time the game doesn’t take us to any movie or comic book universe. LEGO Worlds was designed as a multiplayer virtual playground, in which the gameplay is focused on creating our own constructions and exploring thus created brick world with other players.
LEGO Worlds is an online multiplayer title which revolves around constructing you own structures, exploring the world and interacting with other players – in short, a virtual sandbox. The production has been developed by the Traveller’s Tales studio, the authors of the renowned series of LEGO themed video games.
This time we are not transported into a movie or comic book universe; instead, we create a new world for ourselves. To accomplish this, the developers have prepared a range of terraforming tools which greatly simplify the process, allowing you to quickly shape large areas and also create complex structures piece by piece. You can also create characters (not just the ones you control), by picking various elements of clothing and appearance. Apart from the works of other s, the world is filled with towns, villages and procedurally generated dungeons, furthermore, we have the ability to play around with countless sets of LEGO blocks, which also exist in a physical form.
The players can get around the area with a variety of different vehicles, such as planes, gliders or gigantic drills, or on the back of miscellaneous steeds, e.g. the usual horses, the not-so-usual bears or ostriches and even on fire-breathing dragons; in accordance with the spirit of the title you can also design your own means of transportation. There are many findings and secrets to be found in LEGO Worlds; whilst travelling through the land you will encounter numerous enemies (e.g. skeletons), which you can fight using a wide range of weaponry, from melee arms to rocket launchers.
We can stumble across other players in the virtual world when playing online. Apart from that, the projects you have created can be saved and shared with others. LEGO Worlds has a very distinctive art style, the universe and the characters are build out of virtual LEGO blocks, the creators have made sure that the lighting effects and shadows are on a high level and have also included various features, such as a day and night cycle.

Game Ratings for LEGO Worlds Video Game.
Guardian: 3 / 5 by Will Freeman
There is a sense that with just a couple of updates, Lego Worlds could leap from a captivating proposition to an essential purchase. But for now, the very loose framing that allows Lego Worlds and its players to be free from stifling game design conventions has equally made the experience sometimes ungainly and directionless, leaving its protagonists stranded in a world that is as full of confusion as it is ideas and potential.
Post Arcade (National Post): 8 / 10 by Chad Sapieha
Part Minecraft and part No Man's Sky, this could be the game Lego purists have always wanted
Push Square: 7 / 10 by Sam Brooke
LEGO Worlds is a technical accomplishment, containing thousands of bricks and items that allow players to build whatever comes to their mind. There are a few odd decisions and the gameplay will appeal more to a specific demographic, but Traveller's Tales' latest will surely prove a joy for most creative types.
