A classic 2D fighting game, created by Arc System Works - the same people who released Guilty Gear and BlazBlue games. In Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls we can play as popular Marvel superheroes as part of team battles (4 vs 4). The game offers classic controls, as well as simplified ones for the newcomers.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is a fighting game set in the Marvel superheroes universe. The game was created by Arc System Works studio, known mainly for the Dragon Ball FighterZ project. In addition to this, PlayStation Studios and Marvel themselves collaborated on it. The producer of the project was Takeshi Yamanaka, while its director was Kazuto Sekine.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is a fighting game, in which we play as characters engaged in fierce arena duels. The game was prepared in such a way as to ensure good fun for both veterans of the genre and newcomers. This was achieved thanks to offering both classic and simplified control schemes.
Watching the action from the side, we take control of various Marvel superheroes, such as as Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Storm, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, or Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes).
Each character has a unique fighting style and an individual set of attacks, as well as strong and weak points. Apart from Normal attacks, we can also use Special, Unique and Ultimate ones, showing the true potential dormant in a given hero.
Duels do not take place on a one-on-one basis here. Inspired by comics, in which superheroes often forces, the developers decided that the gameplay will be based on a tag team system, in which two four-person teams will fight against each other. Individual warriors can launch combined attacks, which gives us room for maneuver in of performing spectacular combos.
We can play Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls alone or in multiplayer mode.
The developers of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls were experimenting with a more Western comic book style, but they ultimately decided to offers visuals of their own, maintained in the style of "Japanimation", known from their previous works.
