Noob: The Factionless is a turn-based RPG about a group of friends playing a fictional MMORPG. Players must complete in-game quests and quests set in the real world.
Noob: The Factionless is a fantasy RPG developed by BlackPixel Studio. It's based on a French multimedia franchise Noob, created in 2008 by Fabien Fournier and Anne-Laure Jarne.
The game tells the story of a group of friends playing a fictional MMORPG Horizon, based on actual games of this genre from the late 1990s. Having established a rookie guild called Rush, they set out to conquer the virtual world. Their goal is to reach Level 100, ing the ranks of the server's best players.
Though set in an MMO, Noob: The Factionless is a classic singleplayer RPG. We play as a party of four, exploring the world, completing quests, gaining experience and fighting hordes of monsters in turn-based battles.
We'll also delve into dungeons, collect pets and ride various mounts. Not all challenges take place in the virtual world of Horizon - some quests are set in the real world, involving real-life problems of our party.
The game is only playable in singleplayer.
Noob: Les Sans-Factions features simple, cartoonish, colorful 3D visuals.

As I’ve already mentioned, Noob – the Factionless took ages to grow on me. Even now, as I write this and think back to the gameplay, while I enjoyed some aspects of the gameplay, other aspects, such as the combat and conversation between the characters, felt like a slog through deep mud. Maybe that’s because I never liked MMOs as a way to play games. Overall the game does a decent job of paying homage to the JRPG classics of old. I would expect that you will like the game if you are a fan of the Noob web series, which I’ve never heard of. I like it, but there are better and more engrossing RPGs on the eShop that outshine this one.

Noob - The Factionless is like a love letter to JRPG games of the past and definitely pays homage to the game we grew up with. The visual side of the game might not appeal to everybody, while it can still be a really nice change of pace with its simple design and relaxed gameplay. What really makes the game stand out most is the unholy mountain of funny references used in the game, for example – ‘Lord Moldevort’. Get it?
