The Bard's Tale was at the same time the first in which Michael Cranford did not participate in the production. The responsibility for the creation of the game fell on the shoulders of Brian Fargo, which unfortunately also affected its quality. Although the Thief of Fate is considered to be the weakest episode of the series, the program impresses with its breadth. The plot of the program once again throws us to the city of Skara Brae, which a brave group of heroes once freed us from the influence of the spells of sorcerer Mangar the Dark. It turns out that the settlement was razed to the ground by a mad God named Tarjan. The team intends to get the perpetrator of a disgraceful act, but before doing so, they must first perform seven special tasks, which will require time and space travel.
