Transport Fever 2 is an economic strategy game in which players create a diversified communication infrastructure. The production is a continuation to the game released for PC in 2016. It was created by the Swiss studio Urban Games (also known for developing Phantom Doctrine).
In Transport Fever 2, one's task is to develop the infrastructure and build the resilience of the operating system, including various means of transport - trains, buses, trucks, ships, and even planes. In the game, players will find authentic logistic challenges, based on real events, as well as several hundred vehicles from different eras.
Players' tasks include defining strategies, building proper facilities, as well as developing and modifying the existing ones in such a way that they best fit into the ever more modern means of transport. Players have to analyze numerous statistics and make decisions to optimize the entire system - for example, one determines the route of railway tracks and decides on the routes of individual buses.
The game by Urban Games also has a map editor, thanks to which players can modify the shape of the world - each game can be slightly different from the previous one. The creators have also provided for mods allowing players to customize many aspects of the gameplay to their liking.
In Transport Fever 2 one can only play alone. The game is based on extensive single-player modes. Players can freely build their own company in free play mode, but the creators have also prepared a campaign in which one learn about and rewrite the history of global transportation.
Transport Fever 2 has decent 3D visuals. The in-game world is quite detailed and both bustling metropolises and wild wilderness present a satisfying detail level. Also the lighting system and some of the effects and elements of the luminaire - such as water or vegetation are bound to please the players.

Transport Fever 2 is a classic economic strategy game. Our goal is to create a prosperous transportation company. Transport Fever 2 has a bright future thanks to the integration with the Steam Workshop. Game has polished old, well-known elements but has better campaign than previous titles from Urban Games. Definitely the genre fans should consider adding Transport Fever 2 to their collection.
Push Square: 7 / 10 by Khayl Adam
Transport Fever 2 is the type of enthusiast sim that will keep its target audience rapt for hours. For everyone else, though, it's harder to recommend, as even with its single-player campaign serving as an extended tutorial, it can be difficult to parse. Despite an inconsistent frame rate and some questionable dialogue, it's an undeniably satisfying experience for the strategic-minded, and one of the most in-depth titles of its kind available on PlayStation platforms.
