Original production of Moshi Monsters series, combining elements of action games and RPG. We collect unique warriors, representing different cultures and historical epochs. The aim of the subsequent skirmishes, fought in small arenas, is to defeat the ominous King Boneshaker and his minions, who threaten the Wild Land. The game can be played in cooperation and against other players.
World of Warriors, released on AND, iOS and PS4, is an original combination of dynamic action game and RPG with a little bit of strategy. The game is about creating your own army of legendary warriors, drawn from different cultures and famous historical events. Mind Candy studio is responsible for creating the game, so far known mainly due to the Moshi Monsters series addressed to the youngest gamers.
The plot of World of Warriors takes us to a land called the Wildlands, which suffers under the rule of the evil king Boneshaker and his army of skeletons. The only chance to liberate the land is to forces of the most famous heroes in history, who, representing different cultures, mentality, and fighting styles, will create a unique army capable of facing the cruel villain.
The goal of the game is to successively build your own army of heroes, which we discover gradually as the game progresses. Gameplay mechanics combine elements from many genres - including action games, strategy games and RPGs. The game focuses on a series of battles with Boneshaker's henchmen, and the player's tasks include the selection and training of individual characters to develop their skills, as well as direct control of the hero during skirmishes. These take place in a turn-based system, in a series of varied, closed arenas set, among others, in a forest, desert areas and the like. A maximum of three heroes can participate in a fight, who precisely carry out orders given by us, e.g. determining the strength and place of impact. Besides the special attacks, the use of which costs a certain amount of mana, the result of the fight is significantly influenced by the arcade element - the player must stop the attack bar in the right moment.
We start the game by taking command of three warriors belonging to the cultures of the Romans, Vikings and Samurais. Each of them is characterized not only by a different appearance, but also by the style and combat techniques, and above all, unique special abilities characteristic for a given culture, character and period from which it originates. Besides winning fights, the players unlock access to a huge gallery of about 100 different heroes, which can then be recruited to their team. During the fights, the characters gain experience, which in turn allows for continuous development of their parameters and skills. These can also be increased by various magical items, providing a bonus to the hero's statistics.
World of Warriors offers 3D graphics. Due to the cartoon character of the graphics, the game also has numerous humorous elements. The title is distributed in the popular freemium model meaning that optional microtransactions are its integral part. However, if we have the right amount of patience, we won't have to use them. A good way to gain additional experience may be the daily and weekly challenges proposed by the creators, the results of which are included in the online rankings of players.

World of Warriors attempts to cast off its past as a mobile title, and in that regard it mostly succeeds. The new control options available thanks to the simple inclusion of a proper input device means that combat is tighter, and combos are easier to pull off. At about $20, though, most people might be inclined to keep playing the mobile version without a killer reason to pay money for something that's free elsewhere. For some, local co-op may be worth the price of ission, but for those without others to play with, the asking price may be a bit too steep at launch.

Got a household of bored kids on a rainy weekend? World of Warriors has just enough charm and interest to keep them busy for a day or two. Yet while it has depth and a few good ideas, it's not compelling enough or varied enough to hold their interest for any longer.
