Release Date: September 5, 2019
The eighth part of a series of racing games developed by Bigben Interactive studio. Thanks to the FIA licence in the WRC 8, players can take part in the virtual equivalent of the 2019 rally season, fighting for victory with famous drivers and behind the wheel of real cars.
WRC 8 is the eighth installment of a series of racing games dedicated to rally cars. The production was developed by Kylotonn (which apart from the three previous installments of the aforementioned series has such titles as V-Rally 4 or FlatOut 4: Total Insanity in its portfolio), and its publishing was taken care of by Bigben Interactive.
WRC 8 enables us to race across more than a hundred special stages, located in fourteen countries, with hot tracks of Turkey making their debut here. The game features fifty teams taking part in the FIA World Rally Championship in the 2019 season, the list of which includes such brands as Citroën, Toyota, Hyundai and Ford. In addition to Sébastien Loeb, who is a rallying legend, we are fighting against such drivers as Sébastien Ogier, Jari-Matti Latvala, Thierry Neuville and Andreas Mikkelsen, among others. In addition to the WRC class, the title enables us to compete in WRC 2 and Junior WRC, as well as drive several legacy cars.
In comparison to WRC 7 from 2017, the new installment can boast a number of novelties. The most important of these are changing weather conditions (such as rain, snow or hailstorms), which not only add a random factor to the rally, but also increase realism, as they affect driving. The range of possibilities of adapting the vehicle to individual preferences and conditions on particular tracks has also been expanded (we will do best by listening to our team's instructions during the implementation of modifications). In addition, the devs have improved the driving model and made sure that the information provided by the pilot is more fluent.
The basic mode of WRC 8 is the career in which we compete for the World Rally Championship. Between successive rallies we conduct research and modify the car, as well as manage the personnel (consisting of mechanics, engineers or even a medical and meteorological team). In addition, we can engage in multiplayer competitions (in addition to regular rallies, there are weekly challenges and eSports WRC eSports tournaments waiting to be tested) or improve our skills on single sections.
Visuals of WRC 8 represent a high level of fidelity; the vehicles have been enriched with a large number of details, same goes for the varied, detailed routes. Thanks to the FIA licence, in addition to real cars and drivers, also ments for sponsors involved in real rallies appear on the screen.
