WWE Day of Reckoning 2 is a continuation of a production released a year earlier, created exclusively for Nintendo GameCube console by Yuke's studio. Again, we compete with the most recognizable wrestlers performing as part of the World Wrestling Entertainment organization. Last year's pool of players has been increased by another five, which in total gives forty-five licensed wrestlers (both men and women). New faces include Muhammed Hassan, Chris Masters and Eugene.

In the main feature mode we participate in the continuation of the events of the first part, although we create a new player from scratch using the revised character editor. During the breaks between performances in Raw or SmackDown! we observe film interruptions, which have been deprived of the players' voices. Climbing along the career ladder, we gain experience allowing us to develop skills and money. We spend the latter within the built-in shop on new outfits or armament. With time, we also unblock new players and battle arenas known from television.
