So many people wanted to be in Death Stranding 2 that Hideo Kojima didn't have enough room and started saying no to them
We already know who we will definitely meet as guests in Death Stranding 2. So many famous people wanted to appear in the sequel that Hideo Kojima had to start saying no to some celebrities.

If you've played the first series from Kojima Productions, some recognizable characters will also appear.
It turns out that the cameo appearances in the first Death Stranding were such a cool idea that a bunch of celebrities want to be in the sequel. However, there were so many of them that Kojima began to refuse to scan more people for Death Stranding 2, as the team was running out of space in the game. Allegedly, scanning each Prepper took the developers about 15 minutes, and for some, dialog lines were also recorded (via Genki).
In the end, the director of Death Stranding 2: On The Beach rejected nearly half of the people who wanted to participate in the project. Nevertheless, in the game we will still see some guest appearances, and the presence of several of them has already been confirmed.
We definitely know that the Japanese V-tuber, Usada Pekora, will be in the title. The presence of director Mamoru Oshii and musician Daichi Miura has also been confirmed. Director S. S. Rajamouli is likely to appear in Death Stranding 2 as a Prepper, just like Conan O'Brien, who is known from the first DS (via Game Rant).
We may see more of these guests in the DS 2 launch trailer, but perhaps Hideo Kojima will keep the involvement of more famous individuals a secret until the game's release to surprise players, as he often did in the first game.
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will be released on June 26, 2025, exclusively on PS5 (at least for now; the first installment eventually also made it to PC).
