Understanding Recluse's Magic Cocktail in Elden Ring Nightreign is a real nut to crack. However, it's worth finding out how it works
Recluse's Magic Cocktail in Elden Ring: Nightreign is an ability that is as versatile as it is lethal, not only to opponents, but also to players' memories. However, it is worth fully understanding it, as it offers great help.

It's hard to choose just one character in ultimate abilities. One of the more complex classes is definitely Recluse and her ability, Magic Cocktail.
It allows you to create up to 14 different spell combinations, each of which has completely different properties. Getting to know and ing all of them can be quite a challenge. Moreover, some of them are very situational. So, it's worth getting to know them because fully understanding these spells will distinguish a player who occasionally plays this class from someone who knows most of the effects of the created spells.
Magic Cocktail in a nutshell
As I mentioned before, Magic Cocktail allows you to create 14 unique spells, which are part of Recluse's line-up. These are sometimes powerful spells, offering a solid dose of damage. Others allow for increasing various statuses for your party.
It's important to understand how the absorption of elements works. Whenever anyone from the party deals magic, holy, fire, or lightning damage, the opponent is marked with a corresponding color, identical to that status (for example, red means that you can absorb fire). This also works on allies if they were the last ones to receive such damage.
Next, you can absorb this element to fill 1 of the 3 Magic Cocktail slots. And here is where the real fun begins, because there are plenty of combinations. If you don't want to what each spell does, just that offensive spells usually work best at short and medium range. So, it's not worth using them from far away because you'll just miss the enemies.
At the beginning, you probably won't be able to apply any effects other than magical ones, unless someone from the team helps with this. So to absorb the element after each attack, so you never completely run out of mana.
Another thing to consider is that if you use a single combination (a cocktail consisting of one element) or a double combination (two of the same elements + one different), and it includes the property of holy, then you can be sure that it will be a buff for you or your party. On the other hand, holy creates powerful spells in a mixed combination when each element is different.
It's also worth noting that the more complex the combination, the better the effect of a given spell you will get. Avoid absorbing the same element 3 times in the later stages of the game, as these spells are not as good as those that require a greater number of different properties. Furthermore, it doesn't matter in what order you absorbed a given element!
Best spells from Magic Cocktail
Magic/Lightning
Having these elements in Magic Cocktail will allow you to create a magical blade that, once released, pierces everything in its path at medium range. This is a perfect skill for defeating multiple enemies at once. It also comes in handy in boss fights, as it deals high damage.
Fire/Holy
Recluse is capable of inflicting big damage, however, it is also worth using some spells that buff allies and weaken enemies. And for this, the combination of fire and holy is perfect. For some time, a torch will appear in a given area, which increases the maximum HP of allies, reduces the accumulation of ailments (such as bleeding or poison), and also reduces the maximum HP of enemies affected by this spell.
Magic/Fire/Lightning
One of the strongest offensive spells. Absorbs enemies, only to deal massive damage to all opponents in a medium area after a while. The perfect spell for dealing with a large group of smaller and medium-sized enemies, but it also works well on bosses.
Magic/Fire/Holy
Can there be anything better than a large fire cone, which not only inflicts severe damage on enemies, but also restores both HP and mana to allies it touches? Such a spell is a combination of magic, fire, and holy. Great for big bosses when your allies are also attacking it.
Magic/Lightning/Holy
The last spell is special because it will be cast right where you're standing. However, it offers huge area damage and most importantly, invulnerability. Thanks to it, you turn into an ice block, making you impossible to target for a few seconds. Great spell, if you're expecting a tough hit from the enemy and you're their target.
