Back in 1993, one of the most iconic games was released. For the first time ever, we could step into the cockpit of a Rebel starfighter and take on the Empire ourselves. Yes, we’re talking about Totally Games. It wasn’t just a dream come true for all Star Wars fans, it set a new standard for immersive gameplay and story-driven missions. And now, thanks to a ionate modding team, we get to relive that experience with a fresh coat of high-def paint.

Whether it was a full-on recreation of the Battle of Yavin or a simple rescue operation, X-Wing delivered some truly unforgettable moments. But what made it really stand out was its deep simulation gameplay and tough-as-nails missions, a perfect blend for hardcore players who wanted more than just arcade-style action. It wasn’t the easiest game to get into, but that challenge helped it became a cult classic.

Over the years, X-Wing never lost its following. It spawned many sequels like Star Wars Squadrons proved it’s not just about the looks; what really matters is that engaging gameplay feel.

XWVM is a fan project that’s all about bringing the classic Star Wars: X-Wing game into the modern era. It uses a new engine built on Unity to run the original missions, but with updated graphics, better sound, and smoother controls, making it easier to play on today’s PCs.

Been with gamepressure.sitesunblocked.org since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or iring my collection of retro consoles.
