Expedition 33: All lost gestrals

Lost gestrals are one of the collectibles in Expedition 33. These are nine small, brush-like creatures that escaped from their caretaker and hid all over the continent. Finding lost gestrals gives you various rewards. On this guide page, we explain where to find the missing gestrals and what are the rewards for finding them.

Rewards for finding the missing gestrals

When you find the first gestral, your camp will be visited by Sastro, a gestral disguised as a cook. Talk to him whenever you find a new gestral to receive a reward. The order of finding gestrals does not matter. The rewards are:

1. For finding one gestral - a hairstyle for Maelle,
2. For finding two gestrals- a hairstyle for Lune,
3. For finding three gestrals - a hairstyle for Sciel,
4. For finding four gestrals - you can now destroy stalagmites made of paint,
5. For finding five gestrals - a hairstyle for Verso,
6. For finding six gestrals - three Lumina colors,
7. For finding seven gestrals - three Lumina colors,
8. For finding eight gestrals - five Lumina colors,
9. For finding all the gestrals - a picto allowing for immediate escape from combat and the Lost Gestrals achievement.

Try to find at least four gestrals - the ability to destroy stalagmites made of paint opens alternative paths in many locations and unlocks hidden rewards.

Gestral #1

1. This gestral awaits you just before the entrance to Esquie's Nest, one of the mandatory locations in the first act.

Gestral #2

1. This gestral is waiting for you on the path right next to the entrance to the Stone Wave Cliffs. The way to him is blocked by Bourgeon - you have to defeat him or come back here in the third act to go around him.

Gestral #3

1. This gestral awaits you on the island west of the Stone Wave Cliffs and Yellow Harvest. It is located on the same island as the White Tree. You can get here after finishing the first act.

Gestral #4

1. This gestral is waiting for you north of the exit from the Forgotten Battlefield, right next to the merchant.

Gestral #5

1. This gestral is waiting for you on the beach just north of the Coastal Cave. You have to swim through the coral-blocked channel to the east of the exit from the Forgotten Battlefield - to unlock the ability to destroy the coral, you must first complete Old Lumiere.

Gestral #6

1. This gestral awaits you on the unnamed red island, just northwest of the exit from Old Lumiere.

Gestral #7

1. This gestral is waiting for you on the small meadow, right next to the entrance to Esper. You can fly there in the third act.

Gestral #8

1. This gestral is waiting for you at the eastern edge of the map, in a valley full of huge red flowers. You can fly there in the third act.

Gestral #9

1. This gestral awaits you on a tiny, stone platform levitating above the entrance to the Endless Tower. You can fly there in the third act.
